NomStar Northshore Plaza – An Eatery With Sea View

Magnificent Sea View At NomStar Northshore Plaza II
Magnificent sea view at NomStar

Usually, dining by the sea is reserved for special occasions like a significant anniversary or a romantic night out with your dearest. East Coast, Marina Bay and Sentosa are some places that would naturally come to mind when we are shortlisting restaurants with a waterfront view. A few years ago, it would be hard to imagine that Punggol could join the ranks of these seafront areas. Now, it has become a reality with NomStar Northshore Plaza and two other eateries at levels 1 and 2.

The dining concept at NomStar Northshore Plaza is more like a foodcourt style of dining. However, it is exceptional in its own right because it houses 5 established and award-winning restaurant brands in its enclave. In general, NomStar ticks all the boxes – a superb view, a good variety of Asian cuisine with choices of Michelin-starred fare, affordable prices and an air-conditioned environment. Talking about Michelin stars, one can’t help but think that the name “NomStar” is an amalgamation of “Nom” and Michelin “Star”.

NomStar Northshore Plaza is the next coolest eatery to visit. If you are lucky to sit at one of the coveted tables by the window, you’ll be sure to enjoy a sweeping view of the opposite Pasir Gudang area (Johor) as well as the cruise ship meal kind of vibes sans any swaying and rocking motion.

Lifelike Replicas Of Dinosaurs At NomStar
Lifelike replicas of dinosaurs at NomStar

The interior designers of NomStar have certainly thought it through. Punggol is an area where mostly young families reside. With small kids in tow, parents will undoubtedly welcome any locations which offer a suitable environment for them and their children. Other than the spacious layout, the dinosaur theme is certainly a draw for them. Here at NomStar, the adults can enjoy their piping hot bowl of Tom Yum Chicken soup while watching the big ships in the distance and the children can nibble on their baked BBQ pork buns while peeking at the dinosaurs to see if they’ll ever come alive! It is certainly a place where kids will be keen to go to, other than to a Mcdonalds Drive Thru to collect their weekly Happy Meal toys.

This dish is essentially rice noodle in a bowl of bone broth topped with bean sprouts and slices of beef.

As simple as this dish sounds, much work goes into the preparation of the bone broth which appeals to the palate of almost everyone. At Mrs Pho, other than pho and other mains, you’ll be able to try their Vietnamese entrée as well as drinks.
